Harrison Steel's Environmental and Safety Technician performs a wide variety of administrative tasks while assisting the Senior Environmental Engineer and Safety Manager in carrying out the policies, goals and objectives of the company and complying with regulations set forth by the various permits and regulations. In addition to environmental, this position also assists in a variety of safety initiatives and programs designed to reduce hazards and increase employee safety.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
