Ecotech is based out of Quarryville, PA and operates in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and West Virginia. Crews are dispatched on a daily basis from Ecotech’s main shop at 349 Buck Road, Quarryville, PA 17566 (the “Shop Location”). You will be expected to report to the Shop Location at the start of each shift. Ecotech also provides emergency services to clients, so proximity to the Shop Location is preferred. Ecotech also favors close proximity to the Shop Location because it typically operates within a 4-hour radius of the Shop Location; therefore, occasional overnight travel is to be expected.
As an Environmental Technician you will be responsible for tank cleaning, spill response, equipment cleaning, and operating various machinery, with a focus on safety and environmental protection. The position requires compliance with industry regulations, and exceptional customer service, with prior experience in waste/environmental services and confined space entry preferred. A Typical work day includes working in loud industrial environments in all weather conditions. Current Class B CDL is not required, but is preferred.
- Operate Equipment including but not limited to: pressure washers, pumps, vacuum equipment, hand tools and hoses in order to provide services related to tank cleaning, spill response, equipment and machinery cleaning and line Jetting.
- Protect the environment by having an awareness of spill protection, proper waste acceptance, disposal and treatment as well as emergency response procedures.
- Timely and Diligent Performance: Execute all assigned tasks promptly and with diligence, builds professional long term relationships with customers.
- Safety Training and Responsibility: Maintain accountability for your own safety as well as the safety of others, including fellow Ecotech employees, customers, and the general public. This includes adhering to proper certifications and licenses.

- Physical Requirements: Be capable of repetitive activities such as sitting, lifting, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and crawling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to waist height.
- Outdoor Work Conditions: Be prepared to work in all outdoor environments for extended periods.
- Limited Use of Mobile Devices: Refrain from extensive use of mobile phones and other devices during working hours, specifically from the time the truck departs from the Shop Location until it returns.
- Reporting Issues: Promptly report any issues that may impact the company or its employees to management as soon as they are identified.
- Organizational and Technical Skills: Maintain a tidy work environment and possess computer skills necessary to accurately input work orders and time entries.
- Experience Requirement: Previous Experience in the Waste/Environmental Industry required. Confined Space Entry Certification and experience preferred.
- Understands and comply with OSHA, DOT and DEP regulations,

- Proximity to Shop Location: It is preferable that candidates reside within a thirty (30) minute commuting distance from the Shop Location during standard commuting hours, considering typical traffic conditions. Additionally, candidates should exhibit a willingness to report during non-standard hours in the event of an emergency.
