Crow Precision Components, LLC (Crow) is a forge manufacturing company based in Fort Worth, Texas. Crow is a division of WHI Global, LLC, (www.whiglobal.com). Crow’s 98,000 square foot manufacturing facility operates 2 shifts; and its capacity includes 6 hammers, 12 hydraulic presses, and a screw press. Crow is NADCAP certified to perform Heat Treat and Non-Destructive Testing. Crow is ISO 9001 and AS 9100D certified.
The Engineering Manager oversees engineering department functions in our build-to-print organization. The Engineering Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible to support all functional Directors and Managers. Direct Reports to the Engineering manager includes the following positions: Estimating, NC and CMM Programming, Industrial Engineering (IE) and / or Technical Engineering (TE), and / or Manufacturing Engineering. The Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, the Engineering Manager will focus on developing new product launches that are scalable, sustainable, and repeatable (SSR).
Estimating: Responsible to oversee the Technical Review and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development for new quote packages

- Ensure that when a product launches to production all the requirements are identified and communicated in the packet and on the traveler.
- Contribute to cost reduction by improved methods of manufacturing.
- Assist in developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Solve forging production issues and problems.
Ensure ongoing training and development of Engineering Department employees; including but not limited to continuing education and testing to maintain professional certifications.
High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
- A college degree or trade certifications are desired but not required.
3 – 5 years CNC/CMM Programming experience, operating, troubleshooting, and set-ups preferred.
Experience with CAD applications Pro Engineer (preferred) or Catia.
Solid experience with Microsoft applications, and large ERP experience (Epicor 10 preferred).
Ability to read and comprehend a variety of instructions and standard operating procedures.
Experience in forging and forging tooling & design
Experience in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
