YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Engineering, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

- Develop ventilation plans for LOM (Life of Mine), mid-term, and short-term horizons;

- Model airflow using specialized software (e.g., Ventsim) and integrate with mine planning;

- Implement and optimize automated ventilation systems for energy efficiency and real-time control;

- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities in ventilation design, equipment selection, and energy consumption;

- Lead and support ventilation-related projects such as VoD (Ventilation-on-Demand) and other improvement initiatives;

- Establish and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards for ventilation systems and processes;

- Manage procurement and logistics for ventilation equipment and materials;

- Oversee monitoring program to ensure compliance with standards;

- Prepare technical reports, cost analyses, and compliance documentation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering;

- 5 years of progressive experience in underground mining, with a focus on ventilation;

- Professional designation (P.Eng) in the Northwest Territories/Nunavut or able to quickly obtain designation;

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and mine design/planning software (Deswik is considered an asset);

- Project management skills and experience;

- Underground mine rescue experience is considered an asset.

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:

- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;

- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
