CDE Lightband, the municipal power provider for the City of Clarksville, offers electric, television, Internet, and phone service to customers within the city limits. CDE Lightband serves over 85,000 metered homes and businesses with electric service and over 32,000 customers with broadband services over our Fiber-to-the-Premises Network.

We are looking for a forward-thinking Business and Energy Solutions Specialist to join our Business & Energy Solutions Team. In this strategic role, you will serve as the primary technical consultant for our commercial and industrial partners, bridging the gap between utility operations and business optimization. Leveraging the latest in business analytics and energy-efficiency technologies, you will conduct sophisticated audits and develop tailored solutions that help our local economy grow while reducing its carbon footprint. # Job Summary

Incumbents coordinate and promote services related to energy efficiency, energy conservation, demand side management, and renewable energy. Responsibilities may include responding to customer questions and concerns; recommending ways to lower energy use; calculating home energy ratings; reviewing and modifying budget billing agreements; preparing community materials; promoting services; and maintaining operational and financial records.


# Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Coordinates the day-to-day operations of an assigned program or function, which includes: implementing internal procedures; planning, coordinating, and updating projects and processes; inspecting in-progress and completed work to ensure conformance with established standards; and monitoring compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards.

- Monitors and manages customer accounts, which include setting up accounts, investigating billing inquiries and/or related issues for residential and commercial customers, responding to inquiries on energy use and electrical costs, lighting, and/or other systems, calculating home energy ratings and related calculations, and estimating and performing related duties.

- Assists in implementing, promoting, and staffing programs, products, and services, which include educating customers on energy conservation methods and tools and recommending ways to lower energy use.

- Performs community and promotional activities, which include preparing materials and implementing plans

- Prepares and reviews a variety of financial and operational records and reports, which include reviewing and modifying budget billing agreements.

- Performs other duties as assigned of a similar nature or to provide assistance as needed
