Position: Retail Compliance Representative
Job Type: Part-time, M-F with some weekend availability.
Location: Saint John, NB
Campaign Dates: June - December
Start Date: June 2025
Pay Rate: $21/hour + Mileage
Job Summary
Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing, and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a passion for energy efficiency to join our team as a Retail Compliance Representative for NB Power’s In-Store Rebates program.
This role supports two key initiatives:
•The Fall 2025 Retail Campaign, running from Sept 22 to Nov 16, 2025
•Year-Round Compliance Checks, June through Dec 2025
As a Retail Compliance Representative, you will represent NB Power in select retail stores across New Brunswick. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure participating retail locations meet Summerhill’s event standards and to report on compliance accordingly.
The ideal candidate will:
•Enjoy working independently
•Be highly organized and attentive to detail
•Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
•Have a genuine interest in environmental sustainability and energy conservation
Job Responsibilities
•Travel to designated locations to ensure retailers are compliant with program specifications
•Check signage and displays.
•Notify retailers of necessary changes to ensure program and client needs are met.
•Submit retailer compliance reports to the Project Manager as needed and in a timely manner.
•Receive event materials and return to Summerhill at the end of the program
•Support the Event Representatives during the Retail Campaign on various weekends from Sept 22 to Nov 16
•Attend mandatory paid training
Job Qualifications/ Requirements
•Access to a reliable car with a valid driver's license and provide proof of insurance
•Familiarity with Google Maps and route mapping software
•Strong verbal and written skills
•Flexible schedule to accommodate in-store visits
•Self-motivated with a high level of reliability

•Able to work independently, multi-task and self-manage
•Demonstrate a friendly and professional manner and appearance
•Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Email, Google Maps, and Internet applications
•Possess a smartphone with a data plan (reps will be compensated for data usage for reporting)
•Access to a computer with high-speed internet
•Demonstrate a friendly and professional manner and appearance
•Education and/or experience in energy efficiency or related fields are considered assets.
Working Conditions
•Occasional heavy lifting required, up to 45 lbs.
