We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly, testing and repairing of prototype and production geophysical instruments.
- Assemble and test prototype electronic PCBs
- Assemble and test prototype instruments (including wiring, mechanical assembly etc.)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electronic systems and equipment
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repair and maintenance activities
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
- Diploma or higher in electronics or a related field
- 2 - 5 years experience as an Electronics Technician
- Experience with electronics assembly (hand soldering and reflow surface mount PCBA, as well as through-hole assembly)
- Strong knowledge of electronic principles and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with the design and development of electronic systems and equipment
- Willing to travel to work sites in Canada or internationally to diagnose and repair equipment in the field
