Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and meets project specifications. Duties

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment on construction sites and commercial facilities.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.

- Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and power tools to complete installations efficiently.

- Test electrical systems with instruments like ohmmeters, ammeters, and voltmeters to ensure proper functionality.

- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems safely in accordance with NEC standards and safety protocols.

- Collaborate with construction teams, including frame carpenters and other trades, to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless execution.

- Conduct inspections of electrical systems for safety compliance and perform routine maintenance as needed.

- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and inspection reports.

Experience

- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.

- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for complex electrical systems.

- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment essential for troubleshooting.

- Construction site experience working on large-scale projects involving high voltage and low voltage systems.

- Familiarity with NEC standards governing electrical installations in commercial environments.

- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to all safety guidelines.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
