Electrician C

We are presently seeking an Electrician C for an opening in Liverpool (Divisional, On-site). Under general supervision, work with, and train a group to install, construct, inspect, test, operate, and maintain all equipment and facilities in electric substations, switching substations, generating substations, and other electric delivery equipment and facilities found on the transmission, distribution. Job Qualifications:

A two-year degree or certificate in Electrical Technology, Mechanic Technology or Electric Construction/Maintenance from an accredited college or university or equivalent as determined by management is preferre

Must have Electrician Journeyman experience- .

A minimum of three years’ experience with diverse types of energized and de-energized substation equipment, rubber gloving, climbing and electrical operating procedure skills- .

Must demonstrate sufficient computer and technology abilities- .

Must possess a thorough knowledge of Company equipment, standards and practices applicable to this type of work, and have a working knowledge of fundamental theory relating thereto- .

Ability to read and thoroughly understand complicated electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams and construction prints- .

Must be able to perform strenuous work including work at elevated heights and confined spaces- .

Must be able to operate all equipment such as aerial lifts, boom trucks, fork trucks, and articulating lifts, backhoes, and other equipment associated with construction and maintenance- .

A NYS CDL Class A (restricted) or higher is preferred- .

OSHA crane certification is preferre- d

Must pass physical abilities examination- .

Must pass validated aptitude test- .

Must have a high school dipolma/GE- D

Must have a valid drivers license with a safe driving history that meets National Grids Safe Driver Polic- y
