Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and industrial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards. This role involves working on construction sites, performing installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is completed efficiently and safely, adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
•Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
•Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
•Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ammeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
•Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes during installation and maintenance activities.
•Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects on time.
•Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
•Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
Skills
•Proficient in using voltmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical systems.
•Strong understanding of schematics and blueprints related to electrical installations.
•Experience with low voltage systems is a plus.
•Ability to work effectively with hand tools necessary for electrical work.
•Knowledgeable about the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and regulations.
•Previous experience as an industrial electrician or in a construction site environment is preferred.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.
