Responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the plant electrical system and associated equipment as required to insure reliable, proper operation. The incumbent would also assist the Electrical Supervisor as needed with projects, spare parts, updating and modifying drawings, modifications, planning, and procurement of materials to maintain or improve the overall plant operation.
Perform electrical activities which affect the Styrenics facility.
Perform field construction and quality assurance checks for plant modification or expansions to ensure specifications are met.
Specify/Purchase equipment and material as needed for construction and/or maintenance of electrical systems and electrical services to operating equipment.
Assist Electrical Supervisor as technical advisor and ready resource to facility personnel for electrical maintenance, project implementation, equipment and design modifications, and electrical system capacity and availability.
Provide leadership and direction in the absence of the Electrical supervisor. Duties include: coordinate electrical work with production and maintenance needs, enter work request and purchase requisitions into SAP, provide work status updates to involved parties.
Must have completed an approved electrical training program.
Minimum 3 years' experience in the electrical field with a background in maintenance.
Possess those physical qualities required to perform assigned duties at any location of the plant (includes work at heights).
Accept overtime assignments as a condition of continued employment.
