Summary

Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, the purpose of the Electrical and Instrumentation role is to perform installations on various types of equipment throughout the manufacturing facility. The individual will be a Journeyman who has an industrial background with a continual focus on safety, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position.

The successful candidate must have a foundation of integrity and demonstrate commitment and creativity every day to help drive our organization forward. This position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Southeast Calgary.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications and blueprints

- Wiring of instrumentation and utilities

- Install Conduit and Tubing

- Mount Instrumentation Devices

- Stocking material on shelves

- Identifying any potential issues through trouble shooting

- Participating in, accepting and adopting the safety principles

Qualifications

- Journeyman with valid Red Seal certificate

- Must be able to work with minimal supervision

- Industrial construction experience

- Experience with overhead crane operation, welding, and forklift operation is an asset

- Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s

- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

- Organizational and communication skills
