Title: EHS Project Manager & Trainer – Rail and Transit Manufacturer
Location: Erie, PA
The EHS Project Manager is responsible for developing and documenting EHS standards, conducting reviews of established processes, providing training for the Wabtec Erie site, in both classroom and hands-on environments, in pursuit of regulatory and company standards. In addition, further support to ensure complete records of training are maintained.
Essential Responsibilities:
•Develop, conduct, and document EHS training for the Erie site, in both classroom and hands-on environments, to meet regulatory and Wabtec standards, across all three work shifts as needed.
•The standard training topics will include the following (respiratory protection, confined space entry, crane operation, forklift operation, skid steer operation, back belt, fall protection, rigging, etc.); however, additional training topics may need to be developed but would be included within the allocated working hours for a standard work week.
•During training phases, this position will be required to work on the shop floor and should be physically able to wear any/all required PPE and will be required to access CAB cranes via access ladders.
•Managing content concerning documentation and/or certifications via the following methods: (establish and communicate training classes, track training with an LMS, developing physical certificates, interaction with the Wabtec medical center for information management.
•Support the overall EHS mission at the manufacturing site, which may include additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
•Strong oral and written communication skills.
•3 to 5 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Documented experience and/or certification in the topics that will be trained such as OSHA 501 or similar.
•Gensuite knowledge is a plus.
•Ability to wear all required PPE (safety glasses, safety toe shoes, fall protection, etc.).
•Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including walking on uneven surfaces and climbing stairs and ladders.
•Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
