Municipal Valve & Equipment is hiring an Assistant Project Manager. This position will require working on-site in our Humble, TX office.
What you will do:
•Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.
•Establish and maintain effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers.
•Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
•Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, requirements and ultimately prepare and send quotes.
•Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products and notifying customers if there will be any delays.
•Provide a high level of assistance to outside sales representatives and sales managers to ensure projects are carried out according to plan.
•Lead the strategic planning and execution of critical sales projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
•Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential roadblocks, implementing corrective actions and strategies to maintain project momentum.
•Analyze project performance metrics and provide regular reports to leadership, offering insights into project health and areas for improvement.
•Drive client engagement and relationship management during project lifecycles, ensuring client satisfaction and effective communication.
•Help develop and refine project management processes, best practices, and tools to enhance project efficiency.
•Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages idea sharing, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
•Serve as a subject matter expert on project management methodologies, sharing knowledge and expertise with team members and stakeholders.
Required Background/ Experience:
•3+ years of sales and project management experience
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Teams etc.)
•Detail-orientated with a proven ability to organize and prioritize work
Desired Background/ Experience:
•Prior sales or project management experience in the water/ wastewater industry preferred
•Product knowledge of water/wastewater valve, actuators, and motor operators preferred
