Assistant Project Manager

Our Assistant Project Managers work closely with Project Managers and other operational team members to ensure project preparation, completion and follow-up is completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. The Assistant Project Manager is a primary contact between the customer, contractors, vendors, installers, and internal team members to ensure proactive communication of all relevant project information. Our Assistant Project Managers build and nurture positive customer relationships and ensured that customer’s needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.

Assistant Project Manager’s add value to the team by:

Assisting the Project Manager with the determination of project requirements, budgeting and cash flow, preliminary scheduling, acquisition of contractor quotes, along with change orders.
Managing project organization to include: administration, project scheduling, and project close, as well as ensuring all required project documents are obtained.
Assisting with planning and scheduling project resources, as well as developing and managing project schedules to include Constructions Schedules and Schedule of Values.
Coordinating delivery and pick-up of equipment vendors local to jobsites; assisting in obtaining competitive quotes, as well as coordinating with sub-contractors to acquire subcontracts and necessary licenses, certifications, and insurance.
Regularly communicating with the Project Manager, and all applicable team members, regarding project status and any issues that arise, as well as providing suggested solutions.
Communicating all relevant project information to the customer and project team, and submitting and tracking requests for information from customers.
Reporting; preparing weekly and monthly Job Reports and Status updates; obtaining data for End of Month Estimate to complete reports and assist with preparation of the report, and assisting with proactive accounts receivable efforts.
Acting as the primary contact between the customer, contractors, vendors, installers, and internal team members during the construction phase.

The core components of success are (i.e. must haves):

A High School diploma
At least 1 year of experience with project coordination, preferably in the construction or energy services industry
Active Driver’s License

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field
Experience with accounting and/or financials
PMI Certification

The travel required for this position is approximately 25-50% of the time and will be mostly regional.
