The Site Surveyor will perform pre-sales site assessments using a Drone, working closely with the sales and engineering departments to ensure excellent customer service and accurate design.
- Perform site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installation.
- Work thoroughly and safely.
- Assist service technicians to perform required preventive maintenance activities on batteries and inverters, both micro and string to maintain warranty coverage and proper function.
- Respond to customer’s concerns with the performance or functionality of their system.
- This position will include a largely self-directed element with little to no field supervision.
- Capture drone images/video for marketing purposes.
- Ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Use drone imagery and solar design software to create PV array designs.
- Ensure the organization adheres to implemented corporate policies.
- Communicate with sales representatives, customers, and engineers to ensure system design meets customer expectations.
- Identify the needs for individual development versus assigned roles / expectation, and create any necessary individual training development plan to monitor progress with regular dialogue.

Working knowledge of Tesla and Enphase systems (Enphase University and Tesla Courses preferred).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to computers and typical office chemicals at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. the employee is required to be outside in the ambient temperatures to pilot the drone and take required photos/videos.
Reports to the COO. Works closely with the sales and engineering departments, and has frequent contact with the customers.
4+ years of solar experience preferred. May substitute traditional electrical experience. Both are preferred.
Experience with standard trade hand and power tools, as well as familiarity and proficiency with electrical measurement equipment.
Excellent communication skills via phone, email and internal communication applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM software.
FAA Part 107 certification or willingness to acquire.
