We are seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our engineering team in the oil and gas/petroleum gas manufacturing sector. The Draftsman will create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and plans for equipment, piping, and structural components used in upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. This role requires precision, adherence to industry standards, and collaboration with engineers and project teams to support the design and implementation of oil and gas facilities.
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings), and equipment layouts, using (INVENTOR-AUTODESK).
- Interpret and translate engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI) and company-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to refine designs and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain bill of materials (BOM) and shop routers as provided by the engineering team
- Update drawings to reflect as-built conditions and incorporate design changes.
- Support project teams during design reviews, site surveys, and installation phases.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of drafting experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar) and 3D modeling tools. (CURRENTLY USE AUTODESK-INVENTOR)
- Knowledge of industry standards (API, ANSI, ASME ISO).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or Revit).
- Certification in drafting or CAD a plus but not required (e.g., AutoCAD Certified Professional).
- Require working in a fast-paced environment with tight project deadlines.
- Adherence to safety protocols when visiting operational sites.
