Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman / Production Coordinator to join our team. This role bridges design, quoting, and production by preparing accurate job quotes, reverse-engineering products, and processing materials for fabrication. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with our Fabrication Foreman and Lead Machinist to ensure jobs are accurately quoted, designed, and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate quotes for metal fabrication, machining, and waterjet cutting projects.

- Use quoting software, Fusion 360, and ERP systems to design, process, and manage jobs.

- Reverse-engineer parts and products for production.

- Collaborate with Fabrication Foreman and Lead Machinist to ensure accurate job specifications.

- Operate waterjet cutting software to develop programs and quotes.

- Process job travelers, material requirements, and production documentation in ERP.

- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in transitioning jobs from quote to production.

- Support continuous improvement of production workflows and design practices.

Qualifications

- Degree in Industrial Design or related field (preferred but not required).

- Proficiency with CAD software, especially Fusion 360.

- Experience with ERP and quoting systems in a manufacturing environment.

- Familiarity with metal fabrication, machining, and waterjet cutting.

- Strong problem-solving and reverse engineering skills.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on knowledge of waterjet cutting software and processes.

- Previous experience in a production coordination or drafting role within manufacturing.

- Knowledge of shop floor workflows and materials processing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
