Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dock Worker/Forklift Operator to join our shipping and receiving team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and movement of metal and metal parts within our manufacturing environment.
This position requires excellent attendance, a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of equipment.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment.
- Operate equipment to move products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse and keep workstations supplied with product.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules.
- Run and monitor the Hawkeye.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory checks and reporting discrepancies as needed.
- Must have reliable and punctual attendance.
- Must wear PPE: safety shoes, ear protection, safety glasses,
- Proven experience in material handling within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
