Sit down forklift operator / Warehouse associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within our facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork to ensure that all operations run smoothly.

Duties

- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.

- Perform order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are correctly documented and handled.

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain safety protocols.

- Collaborate with warehouse management to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow efficiency.

- Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company policies regarding safety and cleanliness.

Skills

- Proficient in warehouse distribution processes with a strong understanding of materials handling techniques.

- Experience operating various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.

- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.

- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.

- Previous experience in shipping & receiving operations is highly desirable.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.

- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA guidelines related to warehouse operations. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations, and we look forward to welcoming a dedicated Forklift Operator to our team.

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
