Distribution Line Locator

- Must have a valid Class “E” Florida Driver’s License and be capable of driving Company vehicles.

- Must participate in Company training programs.

- Must be able to read street maps and travel to dispatched locations and utilize mobile telephone, tablet and or computer.

- Must be capable and willing to obtain certification to render first aid, and artificial resuscitation, etc.

- Must be able to write, print and make clear legible drawings and or written records of work operations.

- Must be in good physical condition, have adequate hearing, eyesight and sense of smell.

- Must be able to read at a normal comprehensive level and be able to read distribution drawing, maps and records.

- Must possess tact and suitable personality for customer contact.

- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.

- Must be capable to identify meters, regulators, tanks and other aboveground Company facilities.

- Must be capable of using all types of equipment and instruments to accurately locate and identify Company subsurface structures.

- Must be capable to take basic cathodic protection readings.

- Must become familiar with Company’s policies, practices and procedures.

- Must become familiar with Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations applicable to this position.

- Must be able to pass the HM-126F requirements associated with this position.

- Must be able to pass all assigned Operator Qualification tests.

- Must be able to perform leak surveys, however, the primary role of the Distribution Line Locator is to do line locates.
