The shipping dispatcher ensures the smooth and efficient operations of the shipping department.

Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function:

- Responsible for planning, organizing, training, controlling, and directing of PDM Steel Service Center drivers as well as the dispatching of common carriers.

- The Shipping Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating shipments with the plant as well as monitoring the customer complaint RMA process.

- Assists with the phyiscal inventory

- Assists with receiving tasks or any other tasks Operations Manager deems necessary

- Must be dependable, reliable, with good attention to detail

- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Skills

- LANGUAGE SKILLS: must have sufficient language skills to allow for direct communication with coworkers, drivers and customers on a regular basis. Must have technical writing ability.

- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must possess high school level math proficiency.

- REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to demonstrate advanced problem-solving techniques. Must be able to understand and translate technical data into clear instructions. Must be able to work independently and deal with problems involving multiple variables.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $21.00/Hr. - USD $23.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
