LiftWerx is a specialized wind energy contractor which performs large corrective repairs, mainly using crane-less technology. This is an on-site position, based out of our Cambridge, ON office.
Monday – Friday – 40 hours a week.
Occasional after-hours availability to support cross-border shipments and driver rotation transitions.
Reporting to the Logistics Specialist, the Dispatch & Customs Coordinator is responsible for dispatching company-owned tractors and trailers, managing driver rotations, and ensuring all cross-border shipments comply with customs and regulatory requirements. Primary focus is Canada–U.S. shipments, with occasional Europe-to-Canada imports. The role includes tracking and managing Temporary Importation under Bond (TIB) shipments, ensuring proper closure within one year. This position works closely with Project Managers to plan driver assignments after scheduled home rotations.
- Schedules and dispatch tractors and trailers for domestic and cross-border operations.
- Manages 21-day on / 7-day off driver rotations and coordinate assignments with Project Managers.
- Coordinates directly with customs brokers and internal operations to ensure timely clearance of company-owned equipment through CBSA and CBP, acting as shipper of record.
- Tracks and closes TIB shipments within required timelines.
- Prepares and manages ACE, ACI, PARS, and PAPS filings; maintain accurate records.
- Coordinates customs for Europe-to-Canada imports, ensuring proper documentation and clearance.
- Provides regular updates to Project Managers and stakeholders; supports audits and compliance reviews.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary in logistics or supply chain is preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in tractor/trailer dispatching is required.
- Experience with Europe-to-Canada imports is preferred.
- Ability to manage TIB shipments and bonded imports is preferred.
- Project-based operations experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Canada–U.S. customs processes (CBSA/CBP, ACE, ACI, PARS, PAPS) is required.
- Proficiency with dispatch/TMS software and Microsoft Office is required.
- Strong planning, coordination, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail, particularly for customs and TIB compliance.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
