Dirt Pit Load Coordinator

Overview

We are looking to hire a person with a strong work ethic that will be punctual and dependable that will show up for work on time every day. This position is responsible for keeping track of the loads picked up by the dump trucks every day and to make sure the dump truck drivers sign their ticket for every load they pick up. This person would be mostly working outdoors down in the pit dealing with dump truck drivers and talking to the loader on a two-way radio. This job is easy, but it is not suitable for everybody, as it does require you to be outdoors in the dust, heat, cold, rain etc. There is an air-conditioned office, but there is no running water or power and only portable toilets available. If you cannot work in these conditions, please do not apply. The hours are Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 4pm approximately 45-48 hours per week. This job pays $16/hr plus overtime. We need someone that will show up every day on time and will work all day. The person hired will be required to attend a CPR/First Aid class (probably on a Saturday) which the company will arrange and pay for. This position does not require the applicant to operate any equipment.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily dirt pit load operations, ensuring that each load is signed for by the driver and that they sign the correct load sheet for their company

- Make sure the correct type of dirt is specified for each load on the load sheet

- Check in outside visitors, mechanics, delivery drivers, etc

Pay: $16.00 per hour
