MasTec is seeking a Procurement Director for Power Delivery – East Region to join our team of creators and problem solvers. The Procurement Director is responsible for the leadership, development, and execution of MasTec Power Deliver East Region’s supply chain and procurement activities. This role will drive strategic change across a large organization, create, develop and mentor a team, establish strategic initiatives, and executable plans, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and internal controls. This leader partners with internal stakeholders to assess the operation of the organization and identify and provide solutions for process challenges. This role reports directly to the CFO for the East Region/Shared Services and operates in a matrixed environment with segment leadership.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Leading the end-to-end Sourcing and Procurement function, including cross-functional third-party vendor management and contract negotiation Direct our Strategic Sourcing and Category Management processes to ensure cost-effective and efficient procurement of approximately $125M of annual purchases of material and services.
•Oversee the vehicle and equipment standards, acquisition process for procuring $50M+ of equipment annually.
•Negotiate high-level contracts to ensure best value for the corporation.
•Foster a long-term partnership with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the supply chain.
•Drive corporate initiatives and organizational changes through supplier development, sustainability, supplier diversity, total cost savings, audit remediation, and SOX reporting.
•Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
•Responsible for the implementation of performance measures for Fleet Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain departments.
•Partner with the business unit leadership to drive continuous improvement and change management.
•Identify financial and operational opportunities and work across functions to drive improvement
•Lead business transformation efforts in conjunction with strategic priorities – ERP implementation, acquisition integration, restructuring
•Manages resolution of supplier or subcontractor disputes/ claims
•Build/maintain relationships with Segment/Corporate teams.
•Actively manage, mentor and coach team members; inspire and encourage continued growth and development
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
•BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
•10 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or fleet operations or related operational experience
•5 years leadership/management experience
•Ability to accurately and efficiently close books, report timely results and explain variances
•Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior leaders
•Ability to influence, adapt and lead through change and ambiguity in a dynamic growth environment
•Problem solver adept at envisioning, implementing and building consensus around optimal solutions
•Highly organized and detail oriented; able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously; excellent project management and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results on time, on budget, and on goal
•Experience with ERP integrations and/or enhancements; JDE or Oracle preferred
•Ability to inspire/lead change; track record of building strong teams
