PVB Fabrications, Inc. (PVB), a direct hire, multi-disciplined industrial construction, and metal fabrication company, is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Procurement Manager to lead our procurement efforts for PVB, working out of our Marana office. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to support our industrial construction and fabrication operations, ensuring we receive the best value without compromising technical standards or project timelines.
This role is vital in keeping our operations running efficiently and cost-effectively. The Procurement Manager will follow a structured procurement process, which includes reviewing and approving requisitions, preparing and executing Commercial and Technical Bid Analyses, and collaborating across departments to ensure timely, technically sound procurement decisions.
We are looking for a candidate with a background in mining or industrial construction, who understands the technical nuances of the materials being purchased, from electrical components to steel, concrete, rental equipment, and specialty construction materials.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, from requisition review to final delivery and confirmation.
•Review and approve requisitions to ensure alignment with budget and project scope.
•Conduct and document Commercial and Technical Bid Analyses (CBA/TBA).
•Source and evaluate technically qualified suppliers.
•Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and service levels.
•Maintain and monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
•Collaborate across departments including project management, engineering, field supervision, and accounting.
•Track procurement activities using internal systems and maintain accurate records.
•Analyze market trends and supply chain conditions to guide purchasing strategies.
•Enforce compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and industry regulations.
•Support project teams with forecasting and budget planning for materials procurement.
•Promote ethical procurement practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
•Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in mining or industrial construction.
•Strong technical knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
•Proven ability to conduct detailed bid evaluations and analyze technical specifications.
•Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
•Experience with ERP and procurement systems; advanced Excel proficiency preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
•Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
•Understanding of contract management and procurement-related legal aspects.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
•Experience working directly with vendors in the industrial, mining, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
•Familiarity with materials used in concrete, electrical systems, steel, piping, and heavy equipment rentals.

•Willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary.
