Specifically for our High Purity Quartz (HPQ) operations in Spruce Pine, NC, we are now looking for our Advanced Processing Operations Director.

You will oversee and ensure the safe and efficient operation of specialized processes, particularly focused on acid washing and high-temperature thermal treatments within HPQ operations. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in chemical plants, and possess strong leadership skills to drive operational safety and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical processes, industrial safety protocols, and the management of complex manufacturing systems.

About You

With a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field or ideally a master’s degree or advanced certifications in industrial safety or chemical process management is preferred, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in chemical/Pharmaceutical plants or similar environments, particularly with experience in acid washing and thermal processes.

You should also have a proven track record in managing high-risk processes, including chemical handling, and thermal operations, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance, as well as strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage large teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.

Finally, you must have an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, chemical plant operations, and industrial safety regulations, with experience in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization in high-risk environments.

Familiarity with HPQ or quartz processing, and high-temperature industrial operations is a plus.
