About This Job

Introduction

Snowline Gold, listed on the TSX, is a values-based, growth-oriented gold development company focused on creating value through the discovery and development of gold deposits in the Yukon.

Why Join Snowline?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an entrepreneurial organization with strong financial capacity, technical experience and a streamlined approach compared to larger firms. In this role, your input will make a difference, working with all areas of the company to achieve a high bar in environmental management and permitting for Snowline’s flagship Valley gold deposit. Valley is a globally significant deposit with robust economics as demonstrated by the 2025 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) published in June 2025. A Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) is currently underway, which will form the engineering basis for the Valley project to move through all stages of permitting approvals with the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) and federal agencies. You will make a significant impact on this permitting process while ensuring high standards for environmental management at Snowline’s project sites.

Details

Reporting to the Vice President of Environment and Permitting of Snowline, this full-time and permanent position has two primary functions:

- Permitting: You will support and help lead a range of permitting activities with territorial and federal agencies, including interfacing with First Nation and community entities and consultations. You will work closely with the Project, Engineering and Sustainability teams.

- Environmental Management: You will assist with environmental stewardship aspects of the Project, ensuring existing management and mitigation plans are adapted for permitting, construction and operations. A strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship is essential for success in this role.

Location of Position

The role is based out of Snowline’s Whitehorse or Vancouver office, with frequent travel and time at Snowline’s camp required. Remote candidates can be considered.

Qualifications

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the mining sector and leading the development and completion of EA processes.

- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary internal teams and external consultants in complex regulatory and stakeholder environments.

- Experience with Project execution and construction at remote mine sites.

- Professional designation of PEng. or RPBio is considered an asset.

- Demonstrated knowledge of technical processes and environmental engineering design associated with mines and associated infrastructure.

- Effective communication and presentation skills, particularly in presenting technical information in plain language.

- Knowledge of federal, territorial, and local environmental regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Ability to gain cooperation and support through discussion, negotiations, and influence.

- A valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel throughout the region, including overnight as required by the work.

Scope of Responsibilities

- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Working with all aspects of Project design to ensure the Environmental Assessment (EA) includes supporting information (i.e. engineering memos, trade-offs, baseline, etc.) required by regulatory agencies.

- Participation in YESAB and Federal agency engagements, including the development of schedules, proactive identification of permitting and regulatory risks, and solutions to maintain a de-risked permitting process.

- Ensuring closure and reclamation planning as part of the EA and permitting process, and ensuring closure concepts, progressive reclamation, and post-closure objectives are appropriately reflected in project design and regulatory commitments.

- Preparing permitting engagement materials for government, First Nations and local communities in collaboration with the Sustainability team. Associated travel to communities and government headquarters is required.

- Integration of permitting and environmental requirements into project planning, cost estimates, and construction readiness planning.

- Assisting with budgeting, cost management and site reporting activities for the environment and permitting department.

- Supporting environmental field crews and consultants to ensure completion of field programs that will support the EA and other permits.

- Supporting implementation of project agreements as they pertain to environment, permitting, and social obligations.

- Oversight of development of the Project’s future environmental management system, as developed in the EA for the Valley Gold Project.
