ECA SOLAR is a leading developer of large-scale community solar energy facilities across twelve states, throughout New England, Mid-Atlantic (i.e. Maryland) and the Mid-West (i.e. Illinois). Our Company has Finance and Development groups in Waltham MA (Headquarters) and Engineering and Technical professionals in our Waltham and Nashua, NH office.
Due to our ongoing interest in deploying infrastructure investment capital in solar and battery assets we are seeking to hire a Director of Origination and Power Marketing to increase our contracted revenue for discounted clean energy and energy storage services. Our ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, thrive in ambiguity, and have a high level of social intelligence. This position will involve interfacing with high level business professionals, financiers, gov’t entities and landowners.
The Director of Origination and Power Marketing is a multi-faceted sales professional who supports promoting the ECA brand in the marketplace. This person will source and close on Power Purchase Agreements, Net Metering Agreements, and REC Agreements. This individual works internally as a team player with executives to write, generate, format, and produce a variety of different printed and electronic marketing and contract materials.
- Enter into investment-grade Power Purchase Agreements for our Community Solar, BESS, and Distributed Generation assets (starting with Midwest and Mid-Atlantic markets).
- Create and disseminate marketing materials, including but not limited to customer savings charts, bill analysis, PPA contracts, and more.
- Review financials and independent credit agency ratings.
- Review and edit legal documents related to this role alongside our in-house legal team (i.e. PPAs, NMPAs, etc).
- Ensure the PPA off-takers obtain their internal board approvals.
- Analyze forward energy curves.· Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Marketing, Business, Economics, or related STEM field is required.
· 5+ years of experience in a similar role at an Energy Firm, Clean-Tech, A/E/C (Architecture/Engineering/Construction) is preferred.
· Proficiency in coordinating, writing, editing, and finalizing marketing and sales campaigns with minimal supervision is essential. We are not
· Exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage tight deadlines and produce high-quality sales and marketing materials are required.
· Proficiency in Excel is strongly preferred.
· Familiarity with graphical applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator strongly preferred.
· Proven Experience analyzing energy and commodity forward curves .
· Demonstrated experience in organizing marketing and sales campaigns within key markets is a plus.
· Proven ability to engage with clients and public officials diplomatically and tactfully is required.
· Permanent full-time hybrid role based at our Waltham office Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)
· Currently 3 days in-office summer, 4 days in office in other seasons. Open to other arrangements for childcare purposes.
· Full Time Salary starting at $150,000 USD
· Commission structure to be discussed during the interview process.
· Bonus Per Year / Minimum (starting at $25,000)
