Delivery Manager/Dispatcher
Frederick Bros. Oil & Propane is looking for a delivery dispatcher to dispatch propane, kerosene, #2 heating oil, and diesel trucks safely and efficiently to our customers through our southern Maine. Our Delivery dispatcher will oversee multiple drivers and must provide excellent customer service.
Key Functions:
•Answer phone calls in a polite and efficient manner answering any fuel related questions the customer may have related to their account
•Dispatch fuel trucks based on location, staffing, and level of urgency
•Manage all drivers’ progress throughout their daily deliveries
•Ensure that drivers are efficiently delivering fuel to correct addresses
•Manually assign Will-Call customers to the most efficient driver and route
•Adjust delivery dates and ensure customer satisfaction on any All-Out fuel deliveries
•Follow up with all new or COD customers to ensure they are satisfied with deliveries
•Communicate safety and coordinate safety meetings with drivers
•Report any emergencies, spills, or issues with employees, to upper management
•Coordinate repairs with drivers and technicians
•Review all new customer tank inspections performed by drivers or technicians
•Work closely with our fleet manager and other departments as needed

•Strong ability to lead and communicate with employees
•Strong understanding of delivery trucks and their abilities
•CDL/ Hazmat is helpful, but not required
•Some knowledge of degree days measurement is helpful, but not required
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Two years of experience as a dispatcher or scheduler is preferred but not required.
Software Used:
Frederick Bros. Oil & Propane currently uses DRM Fuel Delivery Software and Digital Dispatcher. Propane accounts also may also be integrated with Tank Utility tank monitoring devices.
