Position Title: Data Entry Specialist

Location: Remote/Work-from-Home

Position Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible hours)

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will efficiently input, update, and verify data from various sources into our systems with high accuracy and consistency. While the role has core hours, we offer flexibility and remote work options to accommodate different schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately enter and update data from multiple sources (electronic, scanned, etc.) into database

- Review data for errors, discrepancies, and completeness; correct or escalate as necessary

- Maintain confidentiality and security of all data processed

- Perform regular data audits to ensure integrity and consistency

- Collaborate with other team members to streamline data entry workflows

- Adhere to standardized protocols & ensure data formatting follows company guidelines

Qualifications & Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications a plus

- Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative/data processing role

- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy rate

- Fast typing skills (e.g. 60+ WPM or as required) with proficiency in tools such as MS Excel, MS Outlook, and database systems

- Good communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently, especially in remote settings

- Comfortable with flexible scheduling - may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on workload

Work Hours & Flexibility

- Standard workweek of 40 hours (e.g. 30-40 hours) but open to part-time arrangements

- Flexible daily schedule; core hours to be agreed upon with supervisor

- Remote work option available

What Success Looks Like

- Maintains error rate below company threshold (e.g. <1-2%)

- Consistently meets or exceeds daily/weekly data input volume targets

- Proactively identifies data quality issues and suggests improvements

- Successfully navigates remote work environment - reliability, communication, self-management
