Job Summary
As a Safety/Data Entry Clerk you will play a role in the collection of data around the project site and entering this data into various computer systems to support a safe work environment
Job Description
•Perform data gathering and data entry for the project site safety records, start cards, training records and observations
•Support the ordering of supplies/materials for the safety department
•Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens)
•Has attention to detail and ensures accuracy in data entry
•Collaborates effectively with other workers and supervisors
•Understands and implements safety procedures to prevent accidents
•Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision
•Other duties as assigned
Skills Required
•Accurate Data Entry Skilled in entering and managing safety records with attention to detail.
•Maintains orderly records and supports supply ordering.
•Understands basic safety procedures, hazards, and warning signals.
•Follows written and verbal instructions, communicates clearly with team and supervisors.
•Works well with others to support safety goals.
•Recognizes and responds appropriately to safety issues.
•Willing to take on various tasks and learn new procedures.
Education/Training/Certifications
•A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
