Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Geology Data Entry Clerk to support our geology department operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, managing, and maintaining operational, production, and safety data
collected from underground activities. This role ensures that data integrity is maintained to support operational reporting, decision-making, and compliance with safety and
production standards. This position is on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
•Collect, compile, and input production, maintenance, and safety data from
•Geologists and underground drill crews into designated databases and reporting systems.
•Maintain organized records of underground Geology logs, reports, and shift summaries.
•Assist as needed in the production of daily, weekly, and monthly Geology reports.
•Collaborate with underground supervisors and technical staff to clarify discrepancies or missing information.
•Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive operational information.
•Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to data management and Geology reporting efficiency.
•Support regulatory compliance reporting by providing accurate and timely information.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in administration, data management, or mining operations is an asset.
•Previous experience in data entry, administration, or clerical roles, preferably within a mining or industrial environment.
•Familiarity with underground mining operations and terminology is an advantage.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is preferred.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
•Ability to work independently and in remote/underground environments if required.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to occasionally access underground areas if necessary (safety training and PPE will be provided).
•Must meet site-specific medical and fitness standards for working in a mining environment.
Work Schedule:
•Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts, TBD.
•Be home every night. Living options available in multiple cities, resulting in a commute of no more than 75 minutes max.
