Data Entry Clerk

Job Summary

Performs simple and routine data entry and verification tasks, and related clerical duties.

Job Duties

•

Insert, update, and maintain accurate data on computer systems and in archives.

•

Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry.

•

Review data for deficiencies or errors

•

Correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output.

•

Generate reports, stores completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations.

•

Maintain files of source documents or other information relative to data entered.

•

Assist in or perform the filing and storage of security and backup data files.

•

May be responsible for aiding technical staff to resolve computer and software problems.

•

Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.

•

Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

•

Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, and procedures.

•

Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

•

Perform work under direct supervision.

•

Handle basic issues and problem and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.

•

Possess beginning working knowledge of subject matter.

•

Experience in Microsoft Excel.

•

0 to 2 years of experience
