CWI Certified Welding Inspector

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will ensure that the product meets the requirements of the company quality systems through daily inspections, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with the internal team.

Responsibilities

- Perform inspections and verification of welds in compliance with AWS D1.1 and other standards including customer and project specifications.

- Ensure all welding activities comply with state and federal regulations.

- Review steel detailing drawings, welding symbols and technical specifications to verify accuracy and compliance.

- Provide guidance and training to welding personnel to maintain code compliance.

- Ensure that all ISO, AISC and customer guidelines for traceability are met.

- Collaborate with internal teams on best practices and continuous improvement.

- Assisting Quality Manager in quarterly and yearly audits.

Qualifications

- CWI Requirement.

- 2+ years' relevant work experience.

- Communication skills and ability to work with creative and detailed individuals.

- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

- Welder testing.

- Continuity and Calibration verification, tracking and reporting.
