Position Overview
As a Customer Service Representative at Ruland, you'll be the first line of contact with our customers, providing timely, professional support while ensuring every order is entered with care and precision. This role blends order entry with customer communication, helping the entire company — from Sales and Business Development to Operations and Shipping — deliver consistent, responsive service.
This position is on-site at our Marlborough, MA headquarters, and may be filled as a full-time or part-time (mother’s hours/school-day availability) role, depending on the candidate’s needs. Full training and support are provided.
Core Responsibilities
•Accurately enter customer orders into Ruland’s ERP system (SAP Business One)
•Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email — including order status, pricing, product availability, and general support
•Maintain accurate customer and order data across ERP and CRM platforms
•Work closely with Sales, Business Development, and Operations to ensure timely and accurate service
•Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams
•Navigate multiple systems and windows using dual monitors in a high-detail environment
•Learn and apply internal tools and workflows including Outlook, CRM, SAP, and Teams chat
Required Qualifications
•High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
•Strong written and verbal communication in English
•Comfort working with business software including email, CRM, and ERP systems
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
•Ability to multitask in a technology-heavy, process-driven role
•Willingness to learn new systems and procedures with hands-on training
•Friendly, professional communication style and customer-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications
•Previous experience in order entry, customer service, or administrative support
•Familiarity with SAP Business One or other ERP platforms
•Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Sugar)
•Background working in a manufacturing, distribution, or technical product environment
Work Environment & Schedule
This is an on-site role at our Marlborough, MA location. We offer:
•Full-time hours: 8-hour shift between 7:30am and 5:30pm
•Part-time / school-day hours available for qualified candidates
•Occasional overtime may be available during peak periods
•The role involves daily use of dual monitors and multiple digital systems. Training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed.
