Manitowoc Public Utilities is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position involves clerical duties related to utility customer accounts. A critical function of the position is the ability to provide courteous and efficient service while interacting with customers and colleagues.
Our team will provide on the job training with various members doing the same role today. We make certain you feel competent about your role on the team and understand what and how things need to be done.
Answers and responds to customer inquiries through phone, voicemail and email.
Assist in maintaining the Customer Information System including correspondence and customer information.
Follows up on account issues, commercial applications, deposits, and delinquent accounts.
Coordinates with the Accounting department and backs up team members in cashiering and billing.
Handles cash batch processing and cash entry/credit balance/adjustment items.
Educating customers on using the self – service MPU customer portal.
Sample of Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
2-year Associate Degree and prior experience in customer service preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with general office skills.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customers and staff.
Strong accuracy, attention to detail and follow through abilities.
