Summary:
Primary responsibilities include order entry, invoicing, obtain freight quotes & setting up shipping, label printing, answering phones, and writing up “walk up sales.”
Customer Support:
•Provide customer service and sales support by responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems in a timely fashion.
•Accurately enter customer orders into Schaeffer Order Entry system and confirm orders back to customers within 24 hours of receipt.
•Communicate pertinent information received from customers to the outside sales representative or appropriate management.
•Support sales team and customer sales orders through phone, email, fax, and in-person
•Review production sheets to determine labels that need to be printed and physically print them.
•Interact with “walk up sales”, write up orders, collect payment (including making basic change).
Required Qualifications:
•A successful applicant will have high school diploma or GED, be a team player, have basic computer skills, have ability to show up per schedule for shifts and possess an eagerness to learn
•Ability to communicate (orally and in email) and interact well with customers, team-members, and management.
•Ability to recognize and report and contribute to solving customer related issues.
•Multitask and work within multiple computer systems and communication platforms simultaneously.
•Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.
•Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook and Word.
•Ability to perform basic math conversions such as bottle to case conversion and price/gallon vs price/piece calculation (multiplication).
Preferred Qualifications:
•Proficiency in Cougar Mountain or related inventory software.
•Familiarity with manufacturing and inventory transaction processes.
•Experience with working with outgoing freight carriers.
Physical Requirements:
•Approximately 90% sitting, working on a computer/office equipment
•Approximately 10% walking, including going up and down stairs
•Occasionally (several times a day) lifting up to 45 lbs.
•Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
Environmental Factors
This position is located in a small office environment, in close proximity to the manufacturing plant, which includes odors of oil and grease, and the noise of running machinery.
