Job Summary

The Credit Risk Analyst's primary job responsibility is to identify and mitigate the credit risk of an assigned portfolio of commercial customers/accounts pursuant to existing policy and desk procedures.

Essential Functions

- Monitor active regulated utility customers’ creditworthiness (credit investigation, financial statement analysis, industry research, payment trends)

- Ensure reserve adequacy and compliance with CECL methodology

- Process incoming credit requests in a timely and diligent manner

- Monitor and collect outstanding accounts receivable balances

- Monitor and enforce established credit limits and payment terms

- Assist in the investigation, reconciliation and resolution of disputed accounts receivable balances and delinquencies

- Identify high credit risk customer and recommend proactive mitigation in a timely manner

- Submit severely past due items to third party collections agency and monitor status on a frequent basis

- Assist in the administration of credit insurance program (as applicable)

- Assist in SOX reporting and testing

- Prepare quarterly performance and risk reporting

- Negotiate and maintain credit enhancements

- Assist in departmental compliance of internal controls

Education Description

Bachelor of Business Administration from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Experience

A minimum of 0-2 years of full time professional working experience, preferably in energy, banking or commercial credit.
