Credit and Collections Supervisor Purpose
Credit and Collections Supervisor is responsible for applying customer payments, researching and analyzing the new customer credit applications, vetting new customers, setting up new customers, collecting on past due or over the credit customer accounts, processing credit cards aging report for differences, managing all deadlines in a timely manner, and help and lead the department as needed. As a Credit and Collections Supervisor, you will be an active and important partner in the accounts receivable process which is key to our ongoing success.
Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Release orders and notify Sales and Customers of credit holds
- Review aging and contact delinquent customers for payment
- Responsible to report and/or escalate any accounts in bi-weekly Credit meeting
- Responsible to escalate bad debt accounts to collection agency or credit insurance
- Heavy telephone and written communications
- Review, process, and approve credit applications
- Process credit cards
- Research and resolve outstanding balances and disputed items
- Maintain credit and collection notes in computer system
- Assist the team with escalated issues
- Responsible for training team
- Fill out Customers new vendor applications for Jaguar
- Submitting Daily Credit Reports
- Credit Insurance Reporting
- Escalate any issues and concerns to the Accounting Manager
- Efficiently manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Assist and manage all other credit department team responsibilities and special projects
- Assist during peak times i.e., “Hurricane Season” to meet deadlines given. Overtime will be required.
- Research and resolves any discrepancies
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned
- Minimum amount of four years of related experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excel and Microsoft (Pivot table, vlookups etc.)
- Customer service focus
- Detailed Oriented
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and multi-task with minimal supervision
- Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- Work from office
