FLSA Status: Exempt
Shift: Monday thru Thursday (4-10hrs with overtime as needed)
On-site position, No virtual or remote work
Position Overview:
Work with Corporate Credit Manager in the execution, administration, and management of credit and collections on customer accounts.
Essential Functions and Duties:
•Assist in the credit granting process – process credit applications, work with references; order D&B reports, obtain tax exemption certificates; follow up
•Assist is periodic credit reviews of existing customers and credit limits
•Review aging for skipped or past due invoices or for deductions taken
•Release orders after review of credit limits with Credit Manager
•Assist with audit requests – A/R confirmation letters, invoice & payment information, and other requests
•Post cash to customer accounts as well as research and resolve exceptions
•Process Invoices, Credit Memos, Debt memos daily
•Prepare and distribute monthly customer statements and collection reports.
•Support month-end closing activities, including AR reconciliations and bad debt reserves.
•Obtain POD’s on invoices as needed
•Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Customer Service, Finance) to resolve customer issues
•Ensure compliance with internal credit and collection policies and external regulations
•Participate in process improvement initiatives related to credit and AR
•Other A/R functions as required
Competencies:
•Experience in working with customer accounts required
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
•Ability to learn company ERP system (Infor Syteline)
•Must be able to demonstrate multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
•Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional appearance, positive attitude
Required Education and Experience:
Education – Associates degree or currently pursuing higher educational degree
