Cost Controller Summer Student

In the role of Cost Controller Summer Student, you get exposure to various roles in Project control cost and scheduling through rotations with existing team members.

Placement Details:

This is a 3 month placement starting in June, located in Duluth, MN.

What you will do:

- Support the Project Controls team priorities by learning cost management systems, standards, and processes and performing assigned tasks to support the execution of Major Projects.

- Specific cost management responsibilities may include cost tracking, analysis, earned value management, change management, forecasting, attending project meetings, collaborating with Project Controls team members and other functional departments, and preparing reports and presentations.

- Perform stretch assignments to support Project Controls goals and priorities

- Plan and coordinate a team volunteer activity in the community

- Visit project locations if the opportunity arises

- Liaise with other Enbridge departments or colleagues as needed for role and assignments

- Bring forward ideas for continuous improvement

Who you are:

- You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Business – emphasis in Finance/Accounting/Mathematics or Engineering and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.

- Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

- Intermediate+ MS Excel, PowerPoint skills

Nice to have:

- Ability to analyze data for root cause and trends

- PowerBI beginner user

- Passport

Working Conditions:

- Office based role, located in Duluth, MN.

- Relocation assistance is not provided.
