UTI is currently seeking both full-time Corrosion Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate would provide a high level of technical expertise relating to pipeline cathodic protection/corrosion control systems and pipeline integrity. This person would also supervise/perform varied internal/external assessments on various pipelines throughout the region (primarily working in Ohio and surrounding states).
· Project management, proposal writing, and report writing for corrosion/integrity related projects.
· Participating on project teams in the planning, design, construction, and operation of pipeline cathodic protection & corrosion monitoring systems.
· Interaction/communication and coordination with multidiscipline teams, including clients, sub-contractors, various local/state/federal governing agencies, etc.
· Provide cathodic protection expertise/guidance to internal groups (management, engineering, operations) and external groups (clients, contractors, etc.).
· Provide oversight and/or conduct required readings (e.g., annual test stations, isolated services, casings, bonds, foreign crossings, soil resistivity) in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
· Supervise pipeline electrical surveys (e.g., CIS, DCVG, ACVG, PCM, etc.).
· Supervise pipeline integrity management surveys (e.g., ECDA, ICDA, ILI) and validation digs
· Cathodic protection system (sacrificial and impressed current) design, installation, operation, and troubleshooting.
· Creation of remediation work orders (i.e., install anodes, clear short, install insulator, repair/replace test station). Follows through with necessary departments to ensure timely completion.
· QA/QC checks on reads/surveys performed by other technicians.
· Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent corrosion experience.
· Corrosion control field inspection and investigation work experience.
· Working knowledge and experience with 49 CFR Parts 192 & 195.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English language).
· Excellent organizational skills and experience in managing and maintaining a project schedule and budgets.
· Ability to handle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
· Valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to UTI’s insurance provider.
· Must be able to work with a team, take direction from Manager(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
· Ability to complete field and office work assignments with minimal supervision in an acceptable time frame.
· Daily travel within UTI’s service area (primarily Ohio and surrounding states), with some overnight travel required (±10%).
· Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems, corrosion related portions of NEC, and AMPP/NACE standards.
· Knowledge and experience with safe handling practices of products (gas and liquids).
