Responsible for coordinating and administering the company standards, processes and other operational mechanisms that achieve the implementation and maintenance of new and existing remote monitoring/telematics equipment and control systems, that achieves expected quality and production efficiency. This responsibility also includes knowledge transfer and support to Shop and BU level field operations groups. Support may include to assist with I&C implementation planning at a company level, training other I&C coordinators, and advanced troubleshooting I&C technical, IoT and process management issues.
Essential Duties:
•Coordinate and administer the delivery of the telematics program and work with I&C Management, various support, and operations teams to achieve program performance targets and goals. (20%)
•Assist in the development as needed, implementation and administration of company I&C standards & processes that provide high quality performance, reliability and cost effectiveness for the telematics and control systems. (15%)
•Provide day-to-day support to field operations teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc. (15%)
•Lead training efforts for development of proper installation, troubleshooting, transferring and maintenance of telematics devices. This includes train-the-trainer at a BU level and/or Technical Training Group. (15%)
•Manage end-to-end process for device administration (registering, implementing rules/policies, QA/QC, etc.) using IoT platform. (15%)
•Administer processes for tracking telematics equipment at a company level. (10%)
•Identify, evaluate, and maintain technical competency with new products and services. (10%)

Knowledge:
•Solid knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, skid wiring, etc.

•Good working knowledge of PLC programming.
•Working level knowledge of modern computer programming and infrastructure.
•Read and interpret logic, schematic and wiring diagrams.
•Solid knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
•Solid understanding of customer’s production equipment.
•Solid working knowledge of end devices (e.g., gateways, engine and compressor controllers, PLCs, etc.)
•Knowledge of emerging and new technologies related to telematics.
Minimum Education and Certification:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or 2-year technical degree related to instrumentation or electronics preferred.
•Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training preferred.
•Advanced electrical, instrumentation, electronics training or experience: electricity, instrumentation, electronics troubleshooting circuits and controls.
Minimum Experience:
•5+ years’ direct experience with natural gas engines and compressors, and a solid knowledge of production equipment, electrical, instrumentation, electronics, troubleshooting and control systems.
•2+ years of SCADA systems or related experience in telematics/remote monitoring.
Leadership:
•Expected to serve as a resource to others for knowledge transfer, training and checking work.
•May occasionally lead a team.
•Assesses training needs and ensures that team members are receiving proper training and that training programs are utilized.
•Improves technical training gaps personally and with field operations.
