SUMMARY
Perform a wide variety of duties to assist maintenance in maintaining coolant levels in machinery and assist in the preventive maintenance process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Quality System:
- Observe all company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping, and quality of work with support of ISO procedures and standards.
- Utilize individually and/or further the use of total quality concepts, tools, and techniques to support continuous quality improvement in all processes in which the position participates with a positive “Can Do” attitude.
- Check coolant concentration daily.
- Ability to utilize a refractometer and document required records needed.
- Responsible for making sure that additives in coolant are necessary to control bacteria and foam.
- Maintain proper levels of coolant.
- Ability to check PH and record weekly.
- Ability to address any issues to supervisor immediately.
- Draining of Keller units along with checking of sump.
- Change filters as needed.
- Replacement of sumps on an annual basis.
- Dispose properly of tramp oil with containers labeled correctly.
- Report unusual conditions to supervisor or appropriate personnel.
- Support, encourage and maintain a positive team working atmosphere throughout the company.
- Perform other duties as requested or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
- Ability to utilize a refractometer and document required records needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
