Cook/Prep

Taylor Diversion Programs (TDP) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep/ Cook to join our TDP program team located in Sheffield, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible to plan, prepare, and cook lunch and dinner for 15 males (ages 14-21) and 5 staff members daily (M-F). He/she will ensure that meals are nutritionally balanced and appropriate for the dietary needs of the group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Food Safety and Sanitation:

- Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including regular sanitizing of surfaces and equipment.

- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, and assist with ordering and stock management.

Qualifications:

- Experience:

- At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting

- Experience in preparing meals for large groups with varying dietary needs

- Skills:

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling.

- Ability to prepare and serve meals efficiently under time constraints.

- Ability to communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.

- Other Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).

- Salary: $18.00/hour
