Controls Specialist I
As part of the Welty Energy Team, a
Controls Specialist Iwill foster staff engagement and process improvement while striving to become the best customer centric professional at our consulting firm supporting electric utilities in our target geographic region.
As a Welty Energy Controls Specialist I, You May
- Support the Welty Energy management team and collaborate and consult as needed for the benefit of the organization.
- Be involved with consulting on project controls and budgets.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Project Managers to provide support as needed to deliver excellence to our client(s).
- Be involved with orientation and onboarding efforts for all new hires.
- Assist with training related to Deltek and financial / scheduling / resource reports to Project Coordinators / Project Managers / Portfolio Managers.
- Assist Executive Vice President and Leadership Team with strategic initiatives.
- Consult on decisions on routine matters, providing recommendations and referring all exceptions to supervisor.
- Participate in and comply with all company safety and quality programs and procedures.
- Support the Controls Team performance of the following functions:
- Accurate and timely Deltek reports
- Accurate and timely Invoice preparation
- Accurate and timely Client system (e.g., Coupa) submissions
- Rolling vs. Forecast PM Weekly RollingRisk Management
- Monitor purchase order balances
- Maintain Master File and WRT to ensure accuracy. Review timesheets and expense reports for accuracy prior to posting.
- Expense / mileage reimbursement review and processing
- Review Hudson Workwear accounts (if applicable)
- Submit paperwork for client badges and laptops (if applicable)
- Ensure timely delivery of items once they are in your possession
- Employee Management
- Timely response to inquiries
- Knowledge of all department processes and procedures
- Act as role model for Welty Core Values, OPTIC (Openness, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, Customer Centricity)
- Collaborate with Management Team to foster a productive and encouraging environment.
- Availability, as needed, to work non-traditional hours to meet project demands.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- MS Office proficiency (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Deltek VantagePoint and Client(s) systems
