Position Title: PROJECT CONTROLS SPECIALIST Location: HOUSTON, TX

Responsible to: MANAGER OF PROJECT CONTROLS
Summary: The Project Controls Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting key project performance indicators. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress against established plans, and ensuring that project objectives are met within budget and time constraints.
- Prepare, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard software.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, construction managers, and stakeholders to gather data and validate project performance metrics.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Analyze and communicate project risks, providing actionable insights to minimize potential impact.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate status, trends, and recommendations to leadership and project teams.
- Support the implementation and improvement of project control processes, tools, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field – or 5 years of major projects experience.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Acumen Fuse).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in cost management, forecasting, and risk analysis is preferred.
