How You’ll Make An Impact
- Design and implement control systems for FACTS and grid integration projects
- Develop and test control algorithms for power converters
- Simulate system behavior using MATLAB and real-time tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals
- Lead design reviews and ensure technical alignment
- Support commissioning activities at customer sites
- Analyze system performance and optimize control strategies
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (default if not specified)
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Power Systems, Power Electronics, or Control Theory
- Minimum 4 years of experience in control systems engineering
- Strong understanding of FACTS applications and control theory
- Experience with MATLAB, PI/PID algorithms, and real-time simulation
- Knowledge of DSP, VHDL, and signal processing is a plus
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
