Contract Subsurface Landman

About us:

Beacon Land Management, LLC is a Land Service Company specializing in title research, leasing, curative, due diligence, and ROW in the Oil and Gas and Renewables Industries.

We are currently accepting resumes for Contract/Independent Subsurface Landmen and Division Order Specialists. Most of our projects are remote, but occasionally, travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

- Research county indexes to follow complex chains of title and interpret various documents such as deeds, assignments, and probates.

- Review title opinions and contracts to help calculate WI and NRI for ownership verification.

- Review BLM, BIA, and State lease files for chains of title and current ownership.

- Create runsheets/abstracts and ownership reports using prepared templates.

- Prepare reports of your findings.

- Have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Be open to learning and working a wide variety of land projects.

- Have access to highspeed internet.

- Have your own personal computer with Office 365.

- Have a Dropbox and Onedrive account.

- Have Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Preferred Skills:

- Being self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision.

- Strong communication.

- Fast Learner.

- Attention to detail and taking pride in your work.

- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.

- Abstracting and interpreting documents.

- HBP title with different ownerships by depth.

- Division Order background is a plus.

- Background with Contract and Lease Analysis.

- Familiarity with title in multiple states.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $37.50 - $50.00 per hour
